Walid Stainless, based in Tunis, Tunisia, is a trusted manufacturer and supplier of premium welding consumables, including advanced SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) systems. Among their specialized products is the AWS Class ER347 SAW wire and compatible flux, engineered to deliver high‑quality, corrosion‑resistant welds in demanding industrial applications. This SAW combination provides smooth arc characteristics, deep penetration, and clean, fully austenitic weld deposits with minimal porosity. Walid Stainless adheres to strict quality control and international standards, serving industries such as chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, and heavy fabrication where reliable performance and corrosion resistance are essential.
AWS Class ER347 SAW wire is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel consumable composed primarily of iron, chromium (18–20%), nickel (9–11%), and niobium (columbium), which stabilizes against chromium carbide precipitation. When paired with suitable neutral or basic SAW fluxes, it produces weld metal with tensile strength typically around 75 ksi (515 MPa) and good elongation, providing excellent toughness and ductility. The niobium stabilization significantly improves resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially after exposure to elevated temperatures. The proper flux selection supports smooth weld bead profiles, reduced impurity pickup, and consistent mechanical properties over long weld seams.
