These electrodes are designed to deliver outstanding performance in tough applications where corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength are crucial. By blending cutting-edge production technology with strict quality control, Walid Stainless ensures that every electrode meets international standards, making them a dependable choice for industries like chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, marine, and food and beverage manufacturing. Their commitment to consistency and performance has made them a trusted partner for fabricators and maintenance teams around the globe.
The AWS Class E316/316H‑16 electrodes are fully austenitic stainless steel electrodes, enriched with chromium (usually 16–18%), nickel (10–14%), and molybdenum (2–3%). The 316H grade features a slightly higher carbon content, which boosts strength at elevated temperatures. This specific chemical makeup provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-rich and harsh environments. On the mechanical side, weld deposits typically reach tensile strengths of about 75 ksi (515 MPa) while maintaining good elongation and ductility, making them perfect for both structural and pressure-containing welds.
