SS 316 / 316L Sheets and Plates contain approximately 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, enhancing resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Grade 316L has lower carbon content, improving weldability and reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion. These grades typically exhibit tensile strength of about 515–690 MPa and yield strength around 205–260 MPa. They offer excellent toughness, ductility, and mechanical stability, maintaining reliable performance under pressure, temperature variations, and corrosive conditions.
