The AWS Class E308LT1-1/T1-4 flux core wire is a low-carbon, fully austenitic stainless steel welding wire, primarily made up of iron, chromium (19–20%), and nickel (9–11%), along with small amounts of manganese and silicon. Its low carbon content helps minimize carbide precipitation, boosting resistance to intergranular corrosion. In terms of mechanical properties, weld deposits from this wire deliver a tensile strength of about 75 ksi (515 MPa) and an elongation of around 35%, ensuring excellent ductility and toughness. The self-shielded flux guarantees smooth welding with minimal porosity, resulting in clean, fully austenitic weld metal that’s perfect for demanding environments.
E308LT1-1/T1-4 dual shield flux cored wire, available in sizes from 0.8mm to 1.6mm, offers excellent corrosion resistance. Ideal for welding stainless steel with superior arc stability and weld quality.
